Permanent Makeup for Total Alopecia: Creating Natural-Looking Brows

Working with clients affected by Total Alopecia is about far more than creating brows. It is about restoring confidence, supporting emotional wellbeing, and helping clients feel like themselves again.

We are proud to share the work of our ambassador Nadezhda Paramonova, created as part of a charity project focused on helping clients with total alopecia through realistic brow Permanent Makeup.

Creating natural-looking brows for alopecia clients requires not only technical precision, but also empathy, artistry, and attention to every facial detail.

What Is Important When Creating the Brow Shape?

Working with Natural Anatomy
The brow design should always follow the client’s natural brow bone and facial proportions. Correct placement is essential for achieving realistic and balanced results.

Understanding Facial Expression
Brows should move harmoniously with the face. Observing the client’s facial expressions during conversation helps create brows that feel soft, natural, and expressive.

Listening to the Client
Every client has a different vision of their ideal result. A detailed consultation allows the artist to understand the desired shape, softness, and overall appearance.

Creating Realism
Natural-looking alopecia brows depend on understanding facial asymmetry, eye placement, bone structure, and depth. If the client has photographs from before hair loss, these can be incredibly valuable references during the design process.

Depth, Texture & Accents
Carefully placed details, soft shading, and the correct visual accents are what transform a brow sketch into realistic healed brows.

Pigments Used

For this procedure, Etalon Mix mineral pigments were used in the following shades:

  • Taupe No.6
  • Tiziano No.8
  • Arabica No.10
  • Corrector No.1 Yellow

These carefully selected pigment combinations help create soft, healed results with natural dimension and long-lasting colour retention.

The Importance of Experience in Alopecia PMU

Working with Alopecia clients requires continuous practice, advanced artistic skills, and a trained eye for realism. Every face is unique, and every brow design must be fully customised to suit the individual client.

Procedures like these demonstrate how powerful permanent makeup can be — not only aesthetically, but emotionally too. Sometimes restoring brows can also help restore confidence.
